Privacy Policy

Effective August 29, 2026

RAMKeeper is built on a simple promise: no ads, no tracking, nothing about you is ever reported. This page explains exactly what that means for the app on your Mac and for this website (ramkeeper.reelary.app).

The short version

  • The app stays on your Mac. All memory analysis runs locally. RAMKeeper never collects, transmits, or stores anything about your processes, memory, app usage, or activity. There is no analytics, telemetry, or advertising in the app.
  • The website collects only what it needs to sign you in and deliver your Pro license — essentially just your email address and your purchase record — plus cookieless page-view counts so we can see which pages people actually read.
  • We never sell or share your data for marketing, and we don't build profiles or track you across the web.

The app (RAMKeeper Free & Pro)

RAMKeeper inspects memory and system pressure entirely on your device. The names of your running apps, their memory footprints, and any actions you take (Focus Mode, restarts, suspends) never leave your Mac and are never sent to us or anyone else.

There is exactly one situation in which the app opens a network connection, and it only happens if you buy Pro:

  • Verifying your Pro license. When you unlock RAMKeeper Pro, and then once on each later launch, the app sends your purchase email, your license key, and a randomly generated device identifier to ramkeeper.reelary.app so we can confirm the license is still valid. No memory or usage data is included — only those three values. If the check fails, Pro keeps working offline for 14 days.

That is the whole list. If you never activate a license, the app makes no network connections at all. There is no update check, no analytics, no crash reporting and no telemetry of any kind inside the app — the only thing it can talk to is the license endpoint above.

The website

When you use this site to log in, buy Pro, or retrieve your license, we handle:

  • Your email address — to send your one-time login code, deliver your license key, and let you view it again on your account page.
  • Your purchase & license details — license key, order ID, product, and status — so we can validate your Pro activation and show your license to you.
  • A single sign-in cookie (rk_session) — a signed, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you logged in. It is strictly functional; we use no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Basic server logs — our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, browser type) to protect the service against abuse.

Login codes are stored only as a short-lived hash and expire within minutes.

We also count page views using Counterscale, a self-hosted, open-source analytics tool running on our own infrastructure at cs.reelary.app. It is deliberately minimal: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser's local storage, and does not fingerprint your device. Each page view records only the page path, the site's own hostname, the referring URL, any campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you followed, and a coarse country, browser, and device type derived from your request. That data is not tied to your account, is never combined with your email or purchase record, and is never used to build a profile or follow you across other websites. We run no advertising scripts of any kind.

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site. They process data only on our behalf, for the purposes below, and each has its own privacy policy:

  • Creem — payment processing. When you buy Pro, your card details are entered directly with Creem and are handled solely by them; RAMKeeper never sees or stores your card number. Creem returns your email, order, and license to us.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, database, and content delivery. The email and license data described above is stored here.
  • Resend — sends transactional email (your login code and license key).
  • Counterscale — cookieless page-view analytics. We host it ourselves on Cloudflare, so these counts are not shared with any third-party analytics company.

How long we keep it

Login codes are deleted shortly after they expire. Your account email and purchase record are kept for as long as you have an account and as needed to support your purchase and meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices & rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you — just email us at privacy@reelary.app. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights; we honor them and, to be clear, we never sell your personal information.

Children

RAMKeeper is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of RAMKeeper after a change means you accept the updated policy.
